Rajasthan housing board hikes reserve prices of plots by up to 66%

The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has increased the reserve price of its plots across the state. Consumers will have to shell out more money to purchase houses and flats in the RHB colonies and get its registry. An official said, “The last reserve price was increased in 2019. After the real estate industry was hit by the pandemic, the reserve price of land was not increased. Last year, proposals were sought from all the engineers to increase the reserve price, but after analysing the market situation, the decision was kept on hold.”

The board has increased the prices by between 8.51% and 66%. The maximum increase has been in the Mansarovar scheme at Jaipur. Till 2019, the residential reserve price in the scheme was Rs 15,815 per square metre, which has been increased by 66% to Rs 26,180 per sq m.

Apart from Mansarovar, the reserve price has been increased by 29% in Pratap Nagar Sanganer and in Indira Gandhi Nagar. In Jagatpura, the price of the land is up by 32%.
