UPPCB Recommends Halting Construction of Four Noida Housing Projects

The Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has recommended halting the construction of four residential projects in Noida, impacting over 4,000 homebuyers. The recommendation follows a complaint filed by a Ghaziabad resident, which led to inspections revealing that the builders of these projects had not obtained the necessary environmental clearances.

The projects affected include Ascon Pride Villa, Purushottam Estate, Dwarika City, and Sahara Enclave, located over 20,000 square meters. According to UPPCB officials, construction activities were found to be unauthorized, and the builders had also failed to secure layout approvals. The recommendation to halt the projects was made after show-cause notices were issued to the developers.

The UPPCB is also set to inspect the premises for unauthorized borewells. The board’s action comes amid ongoing concerns over illegal construction in Noida and Greater Noida, where hundreds of villas and colonies have been built without necessary approvals.
