C.E. Info Systems Limited, operating as MapmyIndia, has been awarded a prestigious contract by the Survey of India (SoI), Government of India, to develop a National Geo-Spatial Platform, the company announced in a stock exchange filing.

Described as the first-of-its-kind initiative in India, the platform will be built using indigenous technologies developed by MapmyIndia. It will serve as a unified national digital infrastructure for aggregating, harmonising, and disseminating authentic and accurate geospatial data and services across the country.

According to the company’s regulatory disclosure to BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India, the platform is designed to support governance, research, industry, and citizen-centric applications, fostering improved data accessibility and innovation.

MapmyIndia clarified that the contract represents a purely domestic transaction, with no foreign participation. The company further confirmed that its promoters, promoter group, or related entities have no interest in the awarding authority, and that the deal does not fall under related party transactions.

The filing, signed by Saurabh Surendra Somani, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, did not reveal the financial value of the contract or the execution timeline.

Founded in 1995 by Rakesh and Rashmi Verma, MapmyIndia is a leading Indian digital mapping and geospatial technology firm. Headquartered in New Delhi, with regional offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru, the company also operates international offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and Tokyo.
