Assam: Projects of Rs 92,000 cr at various stages

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma spoke in a press conference organised to commemorate the 8 years of PM Narendra Modi's government at the centre, in the BJP state office in Guwahati.

On Friday Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said projects having investments of Rs 92,000 crore are at different stages of implementation in public and private sectors in the state of Assam.

He stated that issues raised by entrepreneurs in a meeting have mostly been resolved.

In a series of tweets after the two-day consultation with business leaders and their representatives, Sarma said that at present, investments worth Rs 92,000 crore are at various stages of implementation in public and private sector industries in Assam. He also said that he is glad to share that most of the issues raised during the interaction with 62 industries’ representatives have been resolved. The chief minister assured that the industrial growth in Assam will increase, which will lead to the creation of more job opportunities.

Industries and Commerce Minister Bimal Borah, said that the interactions with business people will help in the ensurement of seamless growth of the industrial sector.

Besides playing a significant role in the quick resolution of issues while implementing the recommendations, these interactive sessions, between the government and entrepreneurs will lead to a more robust and seamless industrial progress and development in Assam.
