The Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA 3.0 government is considering leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) as a part of an advanced version of the PM GatiShakti platform, to fast-track infrastructure development in the country.

Sandeep Kumar Ahirwar, Joint Secretary - Logistics, Department of Commerce, said that the AI enabled predictive platform can assess what is going to be the trend for economic development, which sector and at what pace. He said that the initial preparatory work is on to develop such a platform that could boost economic development by intelligently undertaking risk assessment.

The national initiative incorporated a Geospatial data platform to derive logistic efficiency by addressing critical infrastructure gaps. Over 170 projects, valued about Rs.13.5 trillion, have been evaluated in the last two years.
