Amit Shah directed NCEL to explore export potential of sugar, aromatic rice, organic cotton and coarse grains, and set a target of Rs two trillion in exports. NCEL achieved a turnover of Rs 4.28 Bn and Rs one hundred twenty-two Mn in net profit in financial year two thousand twenty-four to twenty-five. It has expanded exports to twenty-eight countries and signed sixty-one agreements with importers.

BBSSL was praised for its role in strengthening India’s seed ecosystem. It will focus on crops with high yield and low water needs. A tissue culture facility and breeder seed coordination are planned to ensure availability of quality inputs.
