Cabinet Clears Rs 750 Bn Infra Push for Metro, Rail, Roads and New HC Complex

The Maharashtra cabinet has approved infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 750 billion, covering metro rail, suburban rail, roads, an international business hub in Nagpur, and a new Bombay High Court complex in Mumbai.

Key approvals include 238 fully air-conditioned Mumbai suburban trains, new rail corridors, a circular Metro for Thane, metro expansions in Pune and Nagpur, a third and fourth line between Pune and Lonavala, the Nagpur Outer Ring Road, the Thane–Navi Mumbai International Airport elevated road, and an International Business and Finance Centre (IBFC) in Nagpur.
