CCI Clears Kandhari Global’s Acquisition of Coca-Cola Operations

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposed acquisition of a non-alcoholic beverage (NAB) business by Kandhari Global Beverages Private Limited.

Kandhari Global, an authorised bottler for The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) and Schweppes Holdings Limited (SHL), currently operates in Rajasthan. Under the proposed combination, it will acquire the NAB operations of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited in North Gujarat and the Union Territory of Diu.

The transaction involves the preparation, packaging, supply, and distribution of Coca-Cola branded beverages, aimed at strengthening Kandhari Global’s market footprint in western India.

The CCI’s nod paves the way for further consolidation in Coca-Cola’s bottling network in India. The detailed order of the Commission is expected to be released in due course.
