CNH Launches Pond Restoration Initiative

CNH has launched its CSR initiative, ‘Sarovar Sanrakshan’ (pond conservation), at Sunpura, Greater Noida, near its tractor and engine manufacturing plant. The project focuses on restoring the Bhola Rawal Pond into an ecologically balanced public space that supports water conservation, biodiversity, and community wellbeing.

The restoration will cover the 6.77-hectare water body, enhancing aquatic ecosystems while addressing environmental concerns such as foul odours and insect breeding. The initiative includes green infrastructure measures such as plantation drives, wetland systems, and solar lighting to promote sustainability.

The project also aims to strengthen community participation through a village-led water management committee, ensuring long-term maintenance and ownership.

Ravi Kundra, Director Manufacturing (Agriculture), CNH India, highlighted that the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable growth and community development, while creating a scalable model for integrated water management.

Aligned with global sustainability goals, the initiative supports efforts towards restoring water ecosystems and addressing climate challenges.
