Consultant asked to prepare New Noida master plan by Aug 31

After several presentations, the Noida Authority has given the project consultant time will August 31 to present a master plan for the development of New Noida, or the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region (DNGIR).

Officials said that the authority representatives, in a meeting recently, had raised several queries about land pooling and the plan to connect the area with the Noida International Airport, apart from several other upcoming projects in Greater Noida.

DNGIR is being developed as a satellite city to be set up over 20,000 hectares by combining 80 villages — 20 in Gautam Budh Nagar and 60 in Bulandshahr. Under the scheme, 25% of the land being pooled will be allotted to the landowner. About 80% of the developed land will be for industrial use, which should be at least 450sqm. The landowner will get Rs 5,000 per acre per month as compensation for five years or till the time the plot is developed.
