The Pune Municipal Corporation Standing Committee has formally approved a total budget of `3722 crore, with
`2634 crore allocated for the 83.12 km Pune Inner Ring Road and `1088 crore designated for the 35.96 km HCMTR elevated circular ring corridor. Under the guidance of District Collector Jitendra Dudi, the administration has initiated a fast-tracked land acquisition process, with critical meetings scheduled in October to finalise market rates and valuation parameters. Formal proposals are currently with the district administration to ensure the timely transition into the development phase. This strategic investment aims to resolve long-standing traffic congestion issues in Pune by expanding the city’s primary infrastructure footprint and improving transport logistics across the district.
The VOC Port Authority has formally floated a tender valued at `81.33 crore to facilitate the construction of a 3 MW green hydrogen production plant and associated vehicle refueling station within its port premises. This strategic project represents a significant step in the port’s commitment to sustainable infrastructure and the adoption of clean energy solutions for logistics and heavy-duty vehicles. The scope of work involves end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction services for the hydrogen facility. Interested contractors are expected to mobilise resources for this high-priority green energy initiative, which aims to reduce carbon emissions and modernize the port’s energy framework. Potential bidders should focus on technical compliance and procurement of electrolyzer units as the project moves toward the selection phase.
Prestige Estates Projects has officially launched its latest residential venture, Garden Breeze, located in the key growth hub of Bengaluru. This premium development, carrying a Gross Development Value of `1,100 crore, represents a significant capital commitment to the city’s expanding residential sector. The project is currently transitioning from the announcement phase to site mobilization and initial civil works. This development is expected to catalyze local demand for high-quality residential infrastructure while providing a substantial pipeline for regional construction suppliers and project management consultants. The launch underlines the developer’s continued focus on strengthening its portfolio in the South Indian market.
The National Highways Authority of India has officially launched the tender process for the Shamli-Gorakhpur Expressway, a comprehensive infrastructure project spanning 661 km across 18 districts. With an estimated total cost of `34,471 crore, the project is being executed under the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) to ensure robust developer participation and streamlined delivery. The development is organized into 10 distinct packages, each designed to improve vital logistical and transport links throughout the state of Uttar Pradesh. Prospective contractors are currently invited to submit their bids between mid-September and early November 2026. This significant initiative underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening regional transport networks, offering substantial opportunities for large-scale engineering and construction entities to participate in one of the region’s most prominent connectivity projects.
Oil India is set to deploy `15,000 crore over the coming three years to accelerate deepwater and ultra-deepwater exploration across 48,000 sq kilometres of offshore acreage. This strategic move follows the Union Cabinet’s approval of the `84,084-crore Samudra Manthan national offshore exploration scheme. The company has already completed two-dimensional and three-dimensional seismic surveys in the Krishna-Godavari and Mahanadi basins, with current efforts focused on data processing to pinpoint viable drilling locations. By leveraging national policy support, Oil India aims to expand its exploration footprint, which currently exceeds 100,000 sq km, while simultaneously strengthening domestic manufacturing and service capabilities within the offshore energy sector.
The Madhya Pradesh government has formally approved a comprehensive funding package of `36,006 crore dedicated to the Samagra Shiksha initiative. This strategic financial commitment aims to overhaul the state’s educational landscape by supporting school infrastructure development, faculty training programs, and the introduction of advanced digital learning tools across all districts. Spanning the period until 2031, the scheme focuses on improving learning outcomes and ensuring consistent quality in public education. By prioritizing long-term fiscal support, the state intends to bridge existing resource gaps and facilitate equitable access to schooling. Implementation of these funds will likely commence immediately, creating significant opportunities for infrastructure developers and ed-tech service providers.
Indian Railways has sanctioned the Bhavnagar Para Yard Remodeling project in Gujarat at an estimated cost of around `125 crore to decongest Bhavnagar Terminus and create additional operational capacity. The works include four loop lines, an engine-reversal line, ART/ARME sidings, relocation of the station and electronic-interlocking building, a new high-level platform, platform widening, FOB extension and a new FOB, along with two road-under-bridges and associated electrical and signalling works. The project will shift stabling and related activities to Bhavnagar Para, reduce rake detention, improve punctuality and strengthen passenger facilities and terminal flexibility in the Bhavnagar rail network.
The Maharashtra Cabinet has granted the fourth revised administrative approval of `5,704.50 crore for the Kukadi irrigation project, strengthening irrigation infrastructure across Pune, Ahilyanagar and Solapur districts. The combined project comprises the Yedgaon, Manikdoh, Wadaj, Dimbhe and Pimpalgaon Joge reservoirs and is expected to provide irrigation benefits to around 1,44,912 ha across seven drought-prone talukas. The revised provision includes about `4,946.20 crore for direct works and `758.30 crore for incidental expenditure. The state has directed that remaining
works be completed within the revised approval and that land acquisition be restricted to essential requirements to control project costs.
AIG Hospitals is planning a `2,000 crore greenfield multispecialty hospital campus in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to be developed in two phases along with an adjoining nursing college. Phase-I will comprise Towers A and B with 650 beds and is targeted to become operational by October 2028, while Phase-II will add another 350 beds through Tower C over the following two to three years, taking total capacity to 1,000 beds. The hospital is planned with more than 50 medical and surgical specialties, around 150 critical-care beds and a 50-bed emergency department, creating a major tertiary healthcare and medical-education hub for coastal Andhra Pradesh.

The proposal also includes around 22 km of service roads, 10 ramps, two flyovers, three minor bridges, four underpasses, an eight-lane ROB over the Patna-Gaya railway line and more than five kilometres of modern drainage. The next step is preparation of the DPR, with the project intended to reduce congestion and support future Greater Patna traffic demand.
Saatvik Solar Industries has applied for ALMM List-II enlistment for its 2.4 GW solar-cell manufacturing facility in Ganjam, Odisha. The plant is being developed to manufacture high-efficiency N-TOPCon G12R monocrystalline bifacial cells and is intended to support domestic-content requirements and greater localisation of India’s solar manufacturing value chain.
