NBCC Wins Rs 3.55 Billion PMC Deal For Gorewada Zoo, Nagpur

State owned NBCC (India) Ltd has secured a project management consultancy contract worth around Rs 3.55 billion to oversee major infrastructure works at Gorewada Zoo in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Awarded by FDCM Gorewada Zoo Ltd, the mandate includes supervision of an African themed zoo, safari plaza, animal hospital, quarantine facility and allied works.

The win follows NBCC’s recent Rs 2.96 billion redevelopment order from the Meerut Development Authority on 23 June and adds further depth to the firm’s growing project pipeline.

NBCC closed the March quarter with a 29.4 per cent year on year rise in net profit to Rs 1.76 billion. Revenue climbed 16.2 per cent to Rs 46.43 billion, while EBITDA increased 19.3 per cent to Rs 2.9 billion, nudging the operating margin to 6.25 per cent.

Despite the fresh order, the company’s shares were trading 2.34 per cent lower at Rs 120.33 on the NSE at 3:11 pm, having recovered from an intraday low of Rs 118.28.
