Om Infra Gains Five Per Cent After Rs 5,689.8 Million Contract Win

Om Infra shares rose by five per cent in early trade on July 28 after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for a Rs 568.98 crore contract from the Water Resources Department, Chhattisgarh. The contract, for the construction of the Mohmela Sirpur Barrage Project on the Mahanadi River and an associated pipe irrigation network with five years of operation and maintenance in Raipur district, is worth Rs 5,689.8 million (mn). The market reaction pushed the stock higher as investors priced in the new order.

At 10:04 am the stock was quoted at Rs 91.40, up Rs 4.40, or about five per cent, on the BSE. In the previous trading session the share had closed at Rs 87, up 0.02 per cent or Rs 0.02. The share recorded a 52-week high of Rs 143.60 on 23 September, 2025 and a 52-week low of Rs 71.72 on 28 January, 2026.

On July 17 the company had been announced as the lowest bidder for a Rs 482.27 crore engineering, procurement and construction turnkey contract from the Water Resource Department, Rajasthan for the Andheri Medium Irrigation Project in Baran district. That order, covering dam construction and a pressurised irrigation network, converts to Rs 4,822.7 mn. The successive contract wins underline the firm’s focus on irrigation infrastructure orders in the central and western regions.

The stock is trading some distance from its peak, around 36.35 per cent below its 52-week high and about 27.44 per cent above its 52-week low. The company’s market capitalisation stands at Rs 8,802.2 mn. Analysts and market participants will watch tender execution and order inflows as key drivers for near-term performance.
