Om Power Transmission Limited has informed stock exchanges that it has received a letter of intent from Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited for a contract to supply, lay, erect, test and commission a 66 kV underground cable with an approximate route length of five point one seven km. The contract price is Rs 240.3 million (Rs 240.3 mn) including goods and services tax. The company stated the award follows applicable procurement procedures and the contract was granted by a domestic entity. This work pertains to infrastructure for transmission networks.

The order is to be executed within 12 months from the date of commencement. The scope includes supply, laying, erection, testing and commissioning along the specified route. The underground cable specification is for 66 kV voltage class and the route is urban and semi-urban. The company will undertake testing and commissioning in accordance with regulatory standards.
