Oswal Pumps Secures Rs 1,620.6 Million Solar Pump Order

Oswal Pumps Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for 6,896 off-grid direct current (DC) solar photovoltaic water pumping systems to be executed within one year under the PM Kusum B Scheme Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojna. The total order value is Rs 1,620.6 million (mn) approximately, including GST. The company said the empanelment relates to supply and installation at identified farmers' sites across the state.

The contract covers design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of systems in three HP, five HP and seven point five HP capacities, and includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance and a remote monitoring system for five years. Installation of each system is to be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the notice to proceed or work order.

Oswal Pumps said the project will directly benefit 6,896 farming households across Maharashtra and is expected to reduce reliance on grid power and diesel-based irrigation, lowering both input costs and carbon footprints. The firm indicated that continued selection by MSEDCL reaffirms its position as a preferred partner for large-scale solar water pumping solutions and underlined its commitment to deliver quality and timeliness. The empanelment is valid for one year.
