UDTL Secures Trial Export Order From Trident East Russia

United Drilling Tools Ltd (UDTL) has secured a trial export order from Trident East Limited of Russia for the supply of the Puma Connector, marking the first-ever export of these specialised connectors from India to Russia. The order will be executed within one month in accordance with Trident East specifications and stringent quality requirements. The company said the award reflects its engineering capabilities, product quality and manufacturing expertise.

UDTL is the only manufacturer in India capable of producing Puma Connectors used in critical oil and gas applications where reliability, performance and safety are essential. The products are developed to meet international industry standards and are supported by advanced manufacturing processes and rigorous quality control systems. The engagement followed extensive technical discussions, product evaluations and qualification procedures that demonstrated the company could meet exacting customer requirements.

Management indicated that successful execution and performance validation of the trial supplies is expected to pave the way for a long-term business relationship and could lead to larger orders, subject to field validation. The company has been operating since 1985 from Noida, Uttar Pradesh and manufactures large outer diameter casing pipe connectors with multi start high performance connector, wireline and well service equipment, gas lift equipment and downhole tools. UDTL emphasised its focus on innovation and adherence to ISO and API standards.

The company holds 32 registered trademarks, of which 24 are registered in India and eight are registered in other countries, and it has 14 design patents with nine registered in India and five registered in the United Kingdom. Company officials added that the trial order reinforces UDTL's commitment to expanding its global footprint in the energy sector and to developing specialised products that meet stringent industry requirements.
