United Acoustics Formed as Global Acoustic Brand

"United Acoustic has announced the formation of UniVicoustic, a new global acoustic brand created following a strategic investment in Vicoustic. The joint venture will be officially unveiled at ISE Barcelona 2026.

The move combines European research and innovation with Indian manufacturing capabilities, positioning UniVicoustic as a vertically integrated global acoustic solutions provider.

Manufacturing Scale and Technology Integration

United Group has previously licensed Vicoustic’s patented VMT technology and established a fully integrated acoustic manufacturing ecosystem in India under the UniAcoustic brand. Within less than a year, the company developed multiple product series and delivered solutions to over 50 commercial and architectural projects.

This expansion included the establishment of India’s largest integrated acoustic manufacturing facility, featuring an in-house PET production line to ensure control over materials, quality and sustainability.

Global Footprint

UniVicoustic will operate through manufacturing and operational hubs in Porto, Portugal, and Gujarat, India, with a combined workforce of over 300 professionals and an integrated manufacturing footprint of approximately 18,000 sq m. The brand’s products will be distributed across more than 70 countries through a global partner network.

As part of the transition, the UniAcoustic brand will be consolidated under UniVicoustic, with phased integration planned through 2026 to ensure continuity for existing customers.

Shabbir Rajkotwala, Founder and Managing Director, United Acoustic Private Limited, stated that the investment strengthens access to globally certified acoustic solutions while expanding the company’s presence in international markets.

Cesar Carapinha, Founder and CEO of Vicoustic, noted that the partnership enables broader delivery of European design and testing expertise at scale, while maintaining performance and sustainability standards.

The launch marks a strategic milestone in United Group’s evolution as a globally oriented building materials solutions provider."
