UniAcoustic, Vicoustic Form UniVicoustic Alliance

UniAcoustic, part of United Group, has acquired a strategic stake in Portugal-based Vicoustic, forming a new alliance branded as UniVicoustic. The agreement, signed in Mumbai, marks a significant cross-border partnership aligned with evolving India–EU trade dynamics.

The collaboration brings together Vicoustic’s global expertise in architectural acoustic products with UniAcoustic’s manufacturing scale and distribution capabilities. The combined platform aims to expand market reach, integrate technology and optimise supply chains across key regions.

The development comes amid progress in the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to ease tariffs and enhance cross-border business. The partnership reflects a broader shift towards equity-led collaborations to strengthen competitiveness in sectors such as building materials and engineered interiors.

UniVicoustic will operate with a workforce of over 300 professionals and a manufacturing base of around 18,000 sq m. Its proprietary Virtual Material Technology supports high-performance, design-led acoustic solutions tailored for global markets.

The alliance is expected to enhance operational efficiencies and support faster delivery across India, Europe, the GCC and Asia-Pacific, addressing growing demand for advanced acoustic solutions in commercial, healthcare and hospitality infrastructure.
