Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed progress on development projects and preparations for Shravan month with public representatives and officials in Varanasi district. He directed that ongoing projects be completed on time and that the integrated divisional office be finished within 18 months. He stressed maintenance of quality standards.

He asked that the ropeway project be completed within the stipulated timeframe and that road widening at Dalmandi be expedited. He instructed that compensation be given to affected people as per the rules. Works under the Jal Jeevan Mission were to be accelerated and roads dug for drinking water pipelines should be repaired at the same time.

Adityanath directed inter departmental meetings before underground cabling to ensure coordination and timely road registration. He laid emphasis on restoring roads cut during the laying of drinking water and sewer pipelines simultaneously. He ordered small boats in the Ganga to be registered through the municipal corporation and boatmen be provided life jackets.

He directed that essential works for the townships Anand Kashi, Rudra Kashi and Kashi Sports City being developed by the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) be completed on schedule. He asked that Unity Mall construction be accelerated and that preparations for the Tree Plantation Mega Campaign-2026 be ensured. While reviewing Shravan arrangements he asked for a separate route for locals visiting the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and that barricading should not inconvenience traders.

The chief minister asked the district administration, police, municipal corporation, Public Works Department (PWD) and electricity department to work in close coordination and for the Transport Department to coordinate with the Railways for crowd management. He urged provision of basic amenities such as cleanliness, drinking water, lost and found centres and health services. He inspected the under construction electricity substation at Chaukaghat and directed work be completed on time.
