Vishal Sharma promoted to CEO of Asia Pacific at DB Schenker

Vishal Sharma has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific at DB Schenker, the logistics unit of German rail operator Deutsche Bahn AG. This announcement comes as Niklas Wilmking, the previous CEO for Asia Pacific, has been appointed to the Global Board of Management for Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Management, effective from January 1.

Vishal Sharma had been serving as the CEO of DB Schenker?s Greater China cluster since 2021. Before that, he held the position of heading the Indian subcontinent cluster after joining DB Schenker in 2018.

Prior to his role at DB Schenker, Vishal had a history of leadership roles. He served as the CEO of the India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka area for Damco. Additionally, he held positions such as CEO of Gateway Rail Freight and served as a founder director at ColdStar Logistics.
