Wipro Hydraulics Marks 50 Years of Global Leadership in Hydraulic Engineering

Wipro Hydraulics, a business of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), has completed 50 years of operations, marking a significant milestone in its evolution into one of the world’s largest independent hydraulic cylinder manufacturers. Established in 1976 in Bengaluru, the company credits its growth to sustained investments in technology, innovation and customer partnerships. As part of its golden jubilee celebrations, it is showcasing a wide range of advanced hydraulic products at Excon 2025, alongside interactions with customers, industry partners and peers.

WIN today operates across six strategic verticals—Hydraulics, Automation Solutions, Aerospace, Water Treatment, Additive Manufacturing and its recently launched Electronic Materials division. With 33 advanced facilities across four continents, it is on course to reach Rs 100 billion in revenue by the end of FY26.

Wipro Hydraulics itself runs 16 manufacturing plants and four technology centres worldwide, producing more than one million custom cylinders annually for OEMs in construction, earthmoving, cargo handling, forestry, agriculture, mining, snow management and truck tipping. Its solutions support critical applications across India, Europe and the Americas.

“This milestone reflects decades of innovation, engineering excellence and trusted customer relationships that have shaped Wipro Hydraulics into a global leader,” said Pratik Kumar, CEO, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering. He added that the company remains focused on purposeful engineering and continued investments in advanced technologies.

Sitaram Ganeshan, President, Wipro Hydraulics, said the company’s global reach and product diversity have enabled it to derive nearly 70% of its revenue from outside India. “As we enter our 50th year, we are deeply grateful to our customers for their trust, and we remain committed to delivering reliable, high-performance and technologically advanced hydraulic solutions,” he said.

The company has strengthened its international presence through strategic acquisitions, including Mailhot Industries and JARP in North America and Columbus Hydraulics in 2024. Its Jaipur plant, commissioned the same year, expanded capacity and enhanced capabilities for domestic and global OEMs.

Innovation remains central to its growth strategy, with investments in next-generation designs, AI- and ML-driven efficiency tools and quality-improvement initiatives.

At EXCON 2025, the company is exhibiting sensor-integrated cylinders, precision solutions for skid-steer loaders, telehandlers, mini excavators, 3-way tippers and TipMatix, its predictive maintenance platform for truck hydraulics.
