World-class sports complex in Tirupati soon

A new world-class sports complex will soon be developed in Tirupati, following a meeting between Animeni Ravi Naidu, Chairman of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), G Narasimha Yadav, TDP Parliamentary President of Tirupati, and District Collector Dr. S Venkateswar. The new sports policy, recently approved by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, aims to elevate the standards of sports infrastructure in the region.

During the meeting, the team discussed various components of the sports policy and highlighted plans to enhance Tirupati’s sports landscape. A key focus was the proposed integrated sports complex, for which the Chairman requested 32 acres of land. Additionally, the meeting addressed renovation plans for the Srinivasa Sports Complex, funding for boundary wall construction at the Srikalahasti sports complex, and the formation of development committees to further advance the district’s sports facilities.

Dr. Venkateswar expressed his full support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of sports in boosting the state's global reputation. He pledged cooperation to ensure that Tirupati becomes a leading sports destination. The meeting also included discussions on leveraging Smart City funds and CSR resources for sports infrastructure development.
