An international panel of experts evaluated almost 11,000 submissions from around 66 nations. The hansgrohe brand impressed with two innovative bathroom solutions and was honored with the coveted iF DESIGN AWARD 'Gold' labels.

hansgrohe Avalegra impressed the jury as "a good example of how to introduce a new usage scenario in the bathroom." The experts praised the elegantly curved mixer tap, which creates an original yet reassuringly familiar design concept in harmonious unity with the gently sloping washbasin. The innovative face spray function was particularly highlighted: It "creates a delightfully cleansing water fountain and makes the awkward splashing of hands unnecessary." The jury is convinced that this forward-thinking design "will likely inspire imitation."
