JK Tyre Expands Retail Footprint in Rural India

In a move to redefine its distribution network, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd., a leading name in the tyre industry, unveiled its ‘JK Tyre Steel Wheels’ in Farrukhnagar, Haryana as part of the company’s focused expansion into rural India targeting towns with populations of 100,000 or less.
The company will be kicking off the Rural expansion programme across Haryana, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana over the next three months. The initiative will be scaled up with a nationwide rollout later this year.

Designed as a one-stop destination for tyre-related needs, the centre showcases the entire range of JK Tyre products across segments. Customers can benefit from best-in-market pricing, industry-leading warranties, and value-added services including tyre changing and wheel balancing. In a notable move, the store also offers an instant claim facility for non-truck tyres — a first-of-its-kind provision for these regions, aimed at enhancing customer trust and convenience.

Anshuman Singhania, Managing Director, JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, said, "Our Rural expansion programme will help us to reach the interiors of the real Bharat that are economically vibrant but often under-served. We are not just building retail points; we are also enabling entrepreneurship and access. These centres will offer our full range of tyres and will act as vital touchpoints for our brand, delivering consistency, convenience, and confidence to a fast-rising consumer base across India’s heartland.”

This retail expansion aligns with JK Tyre’s strategic vision to strengthen its last-mile presence and tap into India’s rapidly growing rural and semi-urban demand. As part of the rollout, JK Tyre is empowering local entrepreneurs through strategic collaborations to manage and grow these centres within their communities. These collaborations provide aspiring business owners a platform to integrate with JK Tyre’s extensive national distribution network — promoting self-reliance, creating local employment, and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.
JK Tyre boasts an extensive network of nearly 900 exclusive Brand Shops and over 6,000+ channel partners nationwide, providing over 800 SKUs to deliver top-notch services to both existing and potential customers.

No glass boxes!

India is moving away from the ‘glass box’ syndrome, all-glass façades that were widely used in commercial buildings in the last two decades but came at a significant environmental cost given the country’s predominantly hot and humid climate.
