LIXIL Posts 23 Per Cent Rise in Core Earnings

LIXIL Corporation reported a 22.9 per cent increase in core earnings to ¥38.5 billion for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2026, supported by resilient international operations and strong growth across the India, Middle East and Africa (IMEA) region.

The company posted consolidated revenue of ¥1,510.7 billion, up 0.4 per cent year on year, while EBITDA rose by ¥7.1 billion to ¥121.6 billion. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent increased to ¥8.1 billion, aided by improved operating performance and lower corporate income tax expenses.

International business revenue grew to ¥520.9 billion, driven by contributions from Europe, India and the Middle East. The IMEA region emerged as one of LIXIL's strongest-performing markets, with revenue rising 15 per cent and core earnings increasing 4.3 times year on year. The growth was attributed to continued momentum for the GROHE brand and sustained demand across India and the Middle East.

In India, GROHE continued to expand its presence in the premium bathroom segment through a portfolio of design-led, technology-driven and sustainable solutions aligned with the premiumisation trend in the housing market. Revenue from LIXIL Water Technology's international business remained stable at ¥492.5 billion, while core earnings increased 31.2 per cent to ¥21.8 billion, supported by favourable product mix and growth in Europe and IMEA.

"In the fiscal year ending March 2026, we achieved year-on-year growth in both revenue and profit despite the business environment remaining more challenging than anticipated. Core earnings exceeded our initial forecast," said Kinya Seto, CEO, LIXIL. "Our strategic initiatives, including structural reforms and our shift to high-value-added products, are progressing and steadily yielding results."

Looking ahead, LIXIL has maintained its year-end dividend forecast for FYE2026 at ¥45 per share and expects its annual dividend for FYE2027 to remain unchanged at ¥90 per share. For the fiscal year ending March 2027, the company has projected revenue of ¥1,600 billion, core earnings of ¥45 billion and net profit of ¥12 billion as it continues to focus on innovation, supply chain resilience and sustainable growth across key markets.
