Tata-Owned Indian FSC Air India (AI) Charter Brings Indian Army Personnel Home from US Military Exercise

An Indian Army charter flight operated by Tata-owned Air India has safely landed at Fairbanks, Alaska, USA. This flight marks the return of Indian Army personnel following their joint military exercise with the US Army. Notably, it's also the inaugural flight of Air India's first leased Ex-Etihad Airways (EY) Boeing 777.

This isn't the first time the Indian Army has chartered an Air India 777; recently, they used the same aircraft to transport personnel from India to the US, and now, it brings them back home.

The flight's timeline, tracked by FlightRadar24, shows that Air India flight AI1187 departed from Delhi (DEL) at approximately 3:40 AM UTC. After nearly 13 hours and 45 minutes in the air, the flight safely landed at Fairbanks (FAI) around 5:22 PM UTC. The aircraft operating the flight is a Boeing 777-300ER with registration VT-AER, a 9.9-year-old aircraft previously operated by Etihad Airways.
