Flybig Expands UDAN Network with New Moradabad-Lucknow Route

Regional airline Flybig has introduced a new direct flight route between Moradabad and Lucknow, marking a notable expansion of its domestic network under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik) scheme. This new route positions Moradabad as the 12th destination in Flybig's growing network, underlining its commitment to improving regional air connectivity.

The inaugural flight, which took off on August 10, was attended by UP Ministers Dharampal Singh and Baldev Singh Aulakh. Both officials underscored the vital role of regional air connectivity in fostering socio-economic development and enhancing tourism within Uttar Pradesh.

Captain Saanjay Mandavia, CMD and Founder of Flybig, highlighted the airline's dedication to making air travel more accessible and affordable for underserved and unserved airports across India. He noted that the new flights between Moradabad and Lucknow would benefit business travellers, tourists, and local residents by facilitating seamless regional connectivity.

This new service is part of Flybig?s broader strategy to enhance connectivity between Tier II and Tier III cities. The airline has also recently introduced routes from Lucknow to Azamgarh, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Shravasti, further promoting regional air travel within Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Flybig has entered into a new agreement with the Airports Authority of India and the Union Territory Administration of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, allowing it to operate routes between Port Blair, Car Nicobar, and Campbell Bay, thus extending its reach to remote regions of the country.
