Godrej Enterprises Strengthens India’s Aero Engine Capabilities

Godrej Enterprises Group is strengthening India’s aero engine and aerospace manufacturing capabilities through precision engineering, advanced manufacturing and partnerships with global aerospace OEMs.
The company said its aerospace business has recorded nearly 25 per cent year-on-year growth, while exports have risen by over 30 per cent, supported by partnerships with Boeing, Safran Aircraft Engines, GE Aerospace, Rolls Royce and RTX. Godrej stated that it remains the only private company in India with the capability to manufacture all modules of an aero engine.
The company plans to invest around Rs 1 billion over the next three years towards design, R&D, new product development and advanced digital manufacturing technologies. It has also expanded its capabilities through a new 100-acre manufacturing facility in Khalapur, Maharashtra, aimed at supporting aerospace and propulsion-related programmes for domestic and international OEMs.
Commenting on the development, Maneck Behramkamdin said, “Aero engine ecosystems are built on deep engineering capability, uncompromising quality, resilient supply chains, and sustained execution credibility.”
The company added that its indigenous development of aerospace systems, including actuators, reflects its transition from a precision component manufacturer to a design-led engineering partner supporting India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
