The opening of Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), initially slated for May 15, 2025, has been postponed to at least August 6, 2025, following a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The delay is attributed to unresolved infrastructure and safety challenges, including incomplete runway and emergency services, as well as 225 identified obstacles such as tall buildings, hilltops, and transmission towers near the airport . These issues have also led Mumbai Airport to retract its plan to transfer 150 take-off and landing slots to NMIA .Contact: Navi Mumbai International AirportWebsite: www.nmiairport.co.in
