Ashoka Buildcon wins Rs 13.9 bn highway projects

Ashoka Buildcon, a highway developer company, on Monday, said it has bagged two highway projects worth Rs 13.90 billion in Bihar from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Earlier this month the company became the lowest bidder (L1) for these NHAI projects including both, Package I and Package II in Bihar. The aggregate quoted value was also Rs 13.9 billion.

Reportedly the bids were submitted regarding the projects - Four laning of Arrah to Pararia section of NH-319 (Old NH-30) from Km 0+000 to Km 54+530 (Design Chainage) in the state of Bihar under Bharatmala pariyojana Phase -1 on EPC Mode (Package-I) and for Four laning of Pararia to Mohania section of NH-319 (Old NH-30) from Km 54+530 to Km 115+330 (Design Chainage) in the state of Bihar under Bharatmala Pariyojana Phase-I on EPC Mode (Package II).

Reportedly the Company has received Letters of Award (LOAs) from NHAI regarding the Four laning of Arrah to Pararia section of NH-319 (old NH-30) and Four laning of Pararia to Mohania section of NH-319 (Old NH-30) in Bihar.

Both the projects will be executed under EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) mode under Bharat Pariyojna phase 1.

The company has worked across the country and has seized various achievements over the course of years. One such accomplishment has been the completion of the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) a 135 km long six-lane expressway in 482 working days. It was built at a cost of Rs 110 billion and was inaugurated in May 2018.
