Delhi-Dehradun to get Asia’s largest wildlife highway corridor

The much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will be operational very soon. After its completion, the corridor will be Asia's longest elevated corridor, measuring 12 km. The highway will cut travel time between the two cities from 6 to 2.5 hours. But there's another reason to anticipate its completion. Once operational, the expressway will house Asia's largest wildlife highway corridor.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has reportedly shared this news on Twitter. The ministry described the Pragati ka Highway, which is currently under construction, as Asia's longest elevated wildlife corridor that will also protect wildlife. The wildlife corridor will be the last 20 km stretch and will go through the eco-sensitive zone of Rajaji National Park. As of now, this corridor work is under process, and will also include a 340-m Daat Kali (a famous temple in Dehradun) tunnel.
