HG Infra Engineering Secures Rs 15.82 Billion NHAI Contract

HG Infra Engineering has secured a Rs 1,582 crore contract from the National Highways Authority of India for works on the Odisha Capital Region Ring Road. The value of the contract is equivalent to Rs 15.82 billion (bn). The award was granted by NHAI and is expected to add materially to the company order book. The contract complements the company existing portfolio of road projects and is expected to be integrated into its current delivery schedules.

The project forms part of regional infrastructure plans to enhance connectivity to the state capital area and facilitate movement of goods and people. The contract award aligns with government emphasis on highways and ring roads to reduce congestion and support economic activity. Implementation timelines and detailed scope were not disclosed in the announcement. Local connectivity improvements are anticipated to support regional commerce and ease passenger travel around the state capital.

The announcement is expected to strengthen the company position in Odisha and contribute to a visible pipeline of work for the coming months. The contract is likely to be incorporated into the order book and may support revenue recognition in subsequent financial periods. The company will proceed with project mobilization and coordination with relevant authorities following formal contract execution. Procurement of materials and engagement of subcontractors will proceed in line with contractual requirements and regulatory norms.

The award underscores the ongoing demand for road infrastructure and the role of ring roads in urban decongestion strategies. Investors and sector participants may view the contract as positive for the company medium term prospects. Further updates will be released as the project advances and milestones are achieved. Contract management will follow safety and quality standards to meet project milestones and regulatory obligations across construction phases.
