Himachal Pradesh: Gadkari promises ropeways, cable railway, clean energy projects

Nitin Gadkari, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister, has promised more ropeways, a cable railway system, and clean energy projects for Himachal Pradesh, which is up for election. There is a need for tunnel projects, ropeways, and funicular train systems if we can connect these mountains through the electric transport system, this will ease travel and improve connectivity. Similar ropeway, cable car, and funicular railway projects have been launched in the Leh and Ladakh regions, he said, adding that new-age projects can solve the mountain connectivity problem in the Sub-Himalayan range.
