It was mentioned that this highway served as a connection between Nandurbar, Dhule, Jalgaon, (Khamgaon) Buldhana, Akola, Amravati, Nagpur, and Bhandara districts in Maharashtra. The significance of this highway was further highlighted due to its role in facilitating connectivity for the Raipur-Nagpur-Surat or East-West corridor.
