NMC building cement road close to the Poddareshwar Ram Temple

As it plans to build a cement road, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) officials will also find a long- term solution to the issue of water clogging near Poddareshwar Ram Temple. The route between Shitala Mandir to Sadoday Plaza, close to Mayo Hospital Square, in Prabhag no. 19, would be closed by the civic authorities until February 28.

Due to the adjacent road section’s greater height, a small patch of around 150 metres is currently low-lying, and water accumulates there during monsoon. The vehicle traffic is impacted and requires a lengthy detour to get to Cotton Market and further. The store owners raised the issue at several levels and even informed Radhakrishnan B, the Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, about the issue. The plan to increase the height of the road section, according to the zonal officials, has been developed and will be processed.
