UP govt lays 1,193 flyovers and ROBs to boost intra-state connectivity

The Uttar Pradesh government is building a network of 1,193 new flyovers and roads over bridges to improve intra-state connectivity and make commuting more convenient (ROBs).

The Yogi government has contributed significantly to the development of the state by constructing a record number of bridges in the last four and a half years.

A total of 124 bridges, 54 ROBs, and 355 minor bridges were built in a timely manner to meet the needs of Uttar Pradesh residents, according to a statement from the state government.

The state government is working hard to complete the construction of 1,193 new bridges, including 121 new ROBs, 305 large bridges, and 767 minor bridges.

Among these, nearly 260 bridges had the foundation stone laid by previous governments years ago, but construction was postponed.

Preparations are in full swing to complete these projects within the allotted time frame.

With the addition of these new bridges, Uttar Pradesh will become one of the states with the most flyovers, allowing it to successfully address issues such as chronic congestion.

As many as 89 of the 124 bridges that have been built were left unfinished for years by previous governments.

Similarly, 35 of the 54 ROBs constructed by the state government were those that had been pending under previous administrations.

By constructing bridges and ROBs in record time, the Public Works Department and the Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation have outperformed previous governments in terms of bridge construction.

By the construction of the largest network of bridges, the state government has eliminated all the roadblocks in the way of the development of the state.
