Bangalore's longest metro stretch likely to be launched

Metro maps throughout the city of Bengaluru are undergoing updates, prominently featuring the newly introduced Benniganahalli station between Baiyappanahalli and Krishnarajapuram. This development marks a significant relief for commuters who will no longer need to rely on shuttle buses to bridge the gap between Baiyappanahalli and Krishnarajapuram when traveling on the purple line. Now, they can seamlessly traverse this route, enjoying an uninterrupted metro journey all the way to Kadugodi Tree Park.

Citizens of Bengaluru have eagerly awaited the completion of this stretch, taking to social media to express their enthusiasm and encourage authorities to expedite the final formalities.

Spanning a substantial 42.5 kilometers, the purple line of the Bengaluru Metro now stands as the city's longest metro stretch, surpassing the 31 kilometers of the green line. The introduction of this extended route brings hope to alleviate the traffic congestion that has long plagued the city.
