Bids Invited For Exit Gates At Jaipur Metro Phase One A And One B

The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation has invited bids for the supply of automatic fare collection (AFC) exit gates for Phase One A and One B of the metro network. The procurement covers supply of exit gates designed to integrate with the existing AFC ecosystem and to handle peak passenger flows. The authority has specified compliance with technical, safety and interoperability standards. The specification calls for durable, vandal-resistant units and for modular designs that facilitate maintenance and future upgrades.

The contract scope is expected to include manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, along with documentation and training for operations staff. Vendors are required to demonstrate prior experience in supplying similar gates and to provide proof of successful integration with contactless and token-based ticketing platforms. The tender documentation sets out warranty, spare parts support and maintenance obligations. Documentation must include detailed drawings, testing reports and a plan for spare part replenishment.

Bids will be evaluated on technical merit, compliance with specifications and commercial terms, with the authority aiming for transparent and competitive selection. The procurement process is being conducted in line with applicable government procurement rules and seeks to attract established suppliers. The interface with central AFC back office systems and adherence to safety norms are key selection criteria. Financial proposals are required to include lifecycle costs and clarity on payment milestones linked to acceptance tests.

Once installed, the exit gates are expected to streamline passenger egress, reduce dwell times at stations and strengthen security through controlled access. The authority has emphasised the importance of robust testing and phased commissioning to ensure minimal disruption to services. Successful bidders will be obliged to coordinate closely with system integrators and operations teams during rollout. The authority will monitor performance through agreed key performance indicators and will require corrective action plans for any shortfalls.
