Metro Floats Tender For Track Renewal On North–South Corridor

The city metro authority has floated a tender for renewal of tracks on the north–south corridor, underlining efforts to enhance reliability and passenger safety. The move covers replacement of worn rails and associated infrastructure along the designated corridor, aiming to reduce maintenance-related disruptions. Officials indicated the procurement follows condition assessments and lifecycle planning and will inform budgeting for future maintenance cycles.

Bidders are required to meet technical standards and quality benchmarks specified in the tender documents, and the authority has sought submissions from firms with relevant experience in rail track work.
