INS Kadmatt Completes Port Call in Indonesia

Indian Naval Ship INS Kadmatt, an indigenously built anti-submarine warfare corvette, has successfully concluded a three-day port call at Surabaya, Indonesia, reinforcing friendship, trust, and operational interoperability between the Indian Navy and the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL).

The visit featured a series of professional and cultural engagements aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and mutual understanding. Key activities included professional interactions, cross-deck visits, and operational exchanges designed to enhance synergy between the two navies.

The crew also took part in a combined yoga session onboard and a friendly volleyball match with personnel from TNI AL, underscoring the shared spirit of camaraderie and collaboration.

As part of its community outreach, the ship welcomed members of the Indian diaspora in Indonesia, offering them the opportunity to visit and interact with the crew. Courtesy calls with senior naval leadership highlighted both nations’ commitment to working together to ensure a secure and stable maritime environment in the Indo-Pacific.

The visit of INS Kadmatt reaffirmed the Indian Navy’s role as a trusted security partner in the region and further strengthened the long-standing maritime partnership between India and Indonesia, under the shared vision of ‘Partnership Across Sea’.
