UCSL achieves orders for construction of 70 T Bollard Pull Tugs

Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Cochin Shipyard Limited, has secured orders for constructing three 70 T Bollard Pull ASD Tugs for Ocean Sparkle Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Harbor Services Limited.

The contract, signed by Harikumar A, CEO of UCSL, and Hiren Shah, MD and CEO of OSL, marks another prestigious project for UCSL from its esteemed client, Ocean Sparkle Limited. These new tugs, designed by Robert Allan Limited, will have a length of 33 metres, a beam of 12.2 metres, and a draft of 4.2 metres.

They will be propelled by two main engines of 1838 kW and equipped with thrusters, diesel generators, towing winches, deck crane, and fire fighting systems. Built under the Indian Flag and classed with the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS), these tugs will adhere to the ASTDS specifications, aligning with India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.

Additionally, UCSL's order book includes projects for Polestar Maritime Limited and Wilson ASA, further affirming its commitment to delivering high-quality vessels and sustainable solutions for the maritime industry.
