AIPH University, BSCL organises Cycle-A-Thon to save soil

A cycling event 'Cycle-A-Thon' was organised by the AIPH University in Bhubaneswar in partnership with the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) to raise awareness of the save soil movemet.

Dr AP Dash, the Vice-Chancellor, flagged off the Cycle-A-Thon in Damana Square at 7.30 am, after which many AIPHU students, staff members, cycling enthusiasts, and volunteers of the ISHA Foundation pedalled to Raghunathpur and back to the starting place.

Before it, students danced to the Save Soil theme song to alert passersby and drivers to the issue and sensitise them to it.

Prof Pinaki Panigrahi, president of the AIPHU Board of Governors, told the media that the main requirement for supporting plants and providing food for humans and animals is fertile soil.

Therefore, it is the responsibility of all residents to take action, especially the younger generation who may experience the devastating effects of barren soil.
