JMC to bring new development projects to make Jammu a Smart City

BJP senior leader and Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) councillor, Sanjay Baru, speaking at the meeting, stated that the JMC is bringing many new development projects to make Jammu a Smart City.

Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) signed two agreements yesterday for the construction of 23 junctions and the installation of smart traffic booths in various parts of JMC.

The first phase of the 150 crore Tawi River Front development project was recently signed with Shree Balaji Engicons Limited for the beautification of the right and left banks of the river Tawi.

Baru said that under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) Second Phase, 50 deep drain projects worth Rs 900 crore have already been submitted to the Jammu and Kashmir UT Government. He also said that a project to install LED street lights is already underway, and JMC is carrying out development work worth crores of rupees in all of Jammu City's wards.

The meeting also included YWC president Jatinder Khajuria, Dr Inderjeet Bakshi, Rajesh Thakur, Raman Koushal, Gresh Sharma, Jagdish Manhas, Pt B L Khar, Pt. Sudhir Mattoo, Pt. Sunil Koul, Master Desh Raj Sharma, and Sahil.

In the presence of BJP district secretary Brijesh Gupta, Ward president Ashok Wazir, and Shakti Kendra Pramukh, Rakesh Sharma, BJP senior leader and JMC councillor Sanjay Kumar Baru listened to public grievances at a meeting organised by Wazir Lane Youth Welfare Committee (YWC) at Wazir Lane, Bohri.
