Ranchi Smart City inspected by Assembly Committee

The Committee on Government Undertakings of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly recently conducted a physical inspection of the ABD area in Ranchi Smart City. The committee expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction work carried out by the Smart City.

Led by MLA Saryu Roy, the committee began its visit at the Jupmi Building. They inquired about the master plan, projects, expenditure, budget allocation, and the overall progress of Ranchi Smart City compared to other smart cities in the country. The CEO of Ranchi Smart City Corporation, Amit Kumar, warmly welcomed the committee members, including MLAs Saryu Roy, Mathura Prasad Mahato, and DAG Ajay Kumar.

Amit Kumar informed the committee that Ranchi is a frontrunner among cities implementing Smart City Mission schemes. Furthermore, Jharkhand is leading the way among states participating in the Smart City Scheme. He emphasized that the city's infrastructure construction is of world-class quality, with particular attention given to environmental protection, water harvesting, and open spaces. In response to MLA Saryu Roy's inquiries, he reassured them that the construction would not compromise on quality.

The smart city's infrastructure work is set to be completed within the next one or two months.
