Allcargo Logistics Launches AER to Expand Domestic Distribution Reach

Allcargo Logistics Limited, following the approval of its organisational restructuring plan housing its domestic supply chain, express distribution and consultative logistics businesses, has announced a major transformation of its domestic distribution network with the launch of Allcargo Extended Reach (AER). The initiative is an upgraded and rebranded version of the company’s earlier Extra Serviceable Stations (ESS) programme and marks a significant step in strengthening nationwide accessibility, service reliability and market penetration, particularly across emerging and underserved regions.

AER represents a key milestone in Allcargo Logistics’ strategy to deliver faster, more reliable and geographically comprehensive logistics services across India. With the rollout of the new network, the company now covers 100 per cent of available PIN codes nationwide, expanding its mapped footprint from 21,000 to more than 32,000 PIN codes. This expansion has been achieved through granular location mapping that identifies multiple service clusters within each Government of India PIN code, enabling deeper and more precise coverage.

As part of the initiative, Allcargo Logistics has also more than doubled its direct serviceable PIN codes from 4,900 to over 10,000. These locations are now served directly through Allcargo Distribution Centres, supported by broader mapping and network optimisation. The expanded direct reach is expected to significantly enhance delivery speed, operational efficiency and service reliability for customers across sectors.

Commenting on the launch, Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Allcargo Logistics, said that AER marks a new chapter in the company’s domestic logistics journey. He noted that by expanding direct serviceable PIN codes and mapping every available PIN code in the country, Allcargo Logistics is unlocking unprecedented speed, reliability and market access. Kulkarni added that AI-driven planning, optimised distribution networks and deeper last-mile reach position the company to support the next phase of India’s consumption-led growth, while enabling MSMEs, digital-first businesses and large enterprises to access dependable logistics solutions essential for a rapidly formalising and digitalising economy.

The expansion comes at a time when India’s logistics demand is increasingly spreading beyond major metropolitan centres, with Tier II, III, IV cities and remote regions emerging as high-growth consumption hubs. Through AER, Allcargo Logistics now offers seamless access to some of the country’s most difficult-to-reach locations, including Port Blair, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, the Western Ghats and the remote North-Eastern belt. The enhanced reach is expected to strengthen last-mile delivery capabilities and allow customers to enter new markets with greater consistency and predictability.

To support the expanded footprint, Allcargo Logistics has undertaken a comprehensive operational redesign, deploying AI-led planning tools, intelligent routing systems and fully digitalised workflows across its domestic network. The company has also expanded and optimised its hubs, line-haul routes and on-ground operational infrastructure to improve network resilience and throughput.

In addition, Allcargo Logistics has recently expanded and re-categorised its transshipment centres from 21 to 71, further strengthening nationwide connectivity and improving customer experience. With AER, the company aims to usher India’s express and distribution landscape into a new phase defined by speed, predictability and reach, reinforcing its long-term vision of becoming the country’s most trusted logistics partner while supporting India’s evolving supply chain ecosystem.
