To adopt the best practices in garbage processing, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is planning to send a study tour to cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad and Indore to study the various methods they have adopted for garbage processing.

BBMP chief commissioner Tushar Giri Nath said the tour plan will be readied in two days. He said deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar has asked officials to visit cities within Karnataka and big cities across the country where local bodies have adopted the best practices of garbage processing. After the study tours, the civic body will prepare detailed reports on the possible methods that can be replicated in Bengaluru.
