Govt of Assam releases tender for the Jal Jeevan Mission in Assam

The northeast is lagging behind most states in the implementation of the Center’s Jal Jeevan Mission—Har Ghar Jal Scheme, which aims to provide every rural household in the country with potable water through tap water connections by 2024. The Jal Jeevan Mission in Assam is envisioned to provide safe and adequate drinking water in Assam.

The Tangla Public Health Engineering Division's Greater Nanoi Multi Village Piped Water Supply Scheme is being implemented as part of the Assam government's Jal Jeevan Mission.

The project's estimated cost is Rs. 1,67,884,33,000. It also implements source sustainability measures as mandatory elements, such as recharge and reuse through greywater management, water conservation, and rainwater harvesting.
