Maan Gram Panchayat completes 20,000MT biomining project

Near Hinjewadi, Maan Gramme Panchayat has made tremendous progress in trash management. Ayush Prasad, the Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad, emphasised that the organisation has finished a sizable 20,000 metric tonne biomining project. In an endeavour to create a "Garbage Free Pune," the Gramme Panchayat has put in place a number of initiatives to deal with the region's growing solid waste concerns.

Over the past ten years, the population has grown quickly in Hinjewadi, Maan, and Mahalunge Gramme Panchayats, which has resulted in a rise in the production of municipal solid garbage. Three organizations—Zila Parishad, Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC)—work together to address this issue.

Although some industrial zones have their own waste management systems, there has been a significant increase in garbage generation due to the growth of markets, restaurants, and housing societies.
