West Siang, Arunachal Pradesh achieves 100% tap water connection

The West Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh has successfully achieved a significant milestone by ensuring 100% tap drinking water connections to every household under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), as per an official announcement. All 117 villages in the district now boast tap drinking water connections.

At a function held in Aalo on Monday, organised by the public health engineering and water supply department, Aalo East MLA Kento Jini commended the village water management committees (VWMCs) and urged them to responsibly manage the JJM infrastructure. In addition to his role as an MLA, Jini, who also serves as an advisor to the law and justice and parliamentary affairs minister, highlighted the crucial need to preserve and protect the catchment areas of the water source. ?
