Bokajan Cement unit to restart
The expansion of the Bokajan Cement factory in Karbi Anglong, Assam is likely to start this year after inadequate funds and reluctance of reputed companies to work on the project. The capacity of the unit under Cement Corporation of India will expand from existing 600 mn tonne to 1,200 mn tonne. A Bengaluru-based company will be engaged to execute the expansion project, which will be completed in two years. The major work under the project includes two grinding stations-one at Bandorduwa in Arunachal Pradesh and the other at Cachar in Assam.
